Velká Británie. Toto plemeno bylo oblíbené hlavně v prvních desetiletích našeho století a dnes prožívá v západní Evropě opět renesanci. V České republice byli flat coated retrievři hodně dlouho téměř neznámí.
POPIS:
Flat Coated Retriever je bystrý, živý pes střední velikosti, inteligentního výrazu, který se vyznačuje silou bez nemotornosti a plemenným typem bez přílišné vyzáblosti. Má lehký, plynulý, přímý a vydatný pohyb při pohledu zepředu i zezadu.
VÝŠKA:
Flat Coated Retriever má v kohoutku přibližně psi 59 - 61,5 cm, feny 56,5 - 59 cm.
VÁHA:
Flat Coated Retriever váží v rozmezí psi 27 - 36 kg, feny 25 - 32 kg.
SRST:
Flat Coated Retriever má hustou, jemné až středně hrubou, ale kvalitní, přilehlou jak jen to je možné srst. Končetiny a prut jsou dobře osrstěné. Plné osrstění v dospělosti zvyšuje eleganci jedince. Zbarvení může být pouze černé nebo játrově hnědé.
CHARAKTER:
Flat Coated Retriever má přátelský a klidný charakter. Je to všeobecně nadaný pes s vrozenými loveckými vlastnostmi, optimistický a přátelský, což ukazuje veselým pohybem prutu.
PÉČE:
Flat Coated Retriever potřebuje dlouhé procházky, v horských podmínkách se cítí špatně.
